walls
There is no way for Zhon to impede ground unit movement, seal choke
points or protect its defensive structure from ground assault.
Mobile
factories are very weak
Zhon builders, being living creatures, are less durable then buildings
and thus susceptible to assassination. Aramon Horsemen and Taros
Ghost Ship drops can finish a game very quickly if you lose an early
handler as Zhon. Later in the game, you get no chances as Knights,
Berzerkers and Blade Demons come into play. These 3 units can easily
circumvent protective ground forces to take out a builder in the
blink of an eye.
No
cheap construction units for rapid early mana expansion
Imagine if the other side's builders cost exactly the same resources
as the buildings that produced them? Welcome to the world of Zhon.
The only units that produce the cheapest builders are Thirsha and
the Tier 2 builder. Zhon is weak in the early expansion game. Expanding
to level 2, and knowing when to use Thirsha as a weapon, factory
builder or mana builder is key to survival as Zhon.
Does
not receive transports until tier 3
This is detrimental to Zhon's ability to fight a resource war in
the medium game, as without a transport, it is difficult for Zhon
to make sneak attacks from unexpected directions on protected enemy
mana sites. Taros gets the ghost ship at tier 1 and excels in drop
off attacks, and both Veruna and Aramon can transport units by sea
with little cost or tech climbing.
