Four exclusive download units for Computer Games Magazine will be appearing soon. Expect to see the four units and the TA: Kingdoms Demo in the February issue of Computer Games Magazine (on the disk), which is scheduled to hit newsstands on January 1.
The units will be prominently displayed on the "backer page" of the February issue which accompanies the magazine. But, rather than make you wait to hear what they are - here's a list:
The Aramon Grenadier:
This explosive packing, grenade lobbing, soldier is a versatile addition to the forces of Aramon. Built by the Acolyte, this pyrotechnic specialist wields three types of grenade -- explosive, incendiary, and stun. Use these soldiers to fight off incoming invasions or to support other melee troops at the front line. Caution is advised when the Grenadier is near your own forces. When defeated, they tend to go out with a bang.
The Verunan Mer Warrior:
Armed with only a trident, the scaley Mer Warrior has a highly useful ability: He can travel across both land and sea. The Mer Warrior is most at home in the oceans of Darien where it travels nearly twice as fast as it does on land. The Mer Warrior is ideal for launching fast amphibious attacks against your enemy.
The Tarosian Dark Hand:
Little is known of these mysterious elite warriors from Taros. Members of the Order of The Dark Hand are often seen patrolling the wastelands of Taros, accompanied by Lich and Skeletal Archers. Every Dark Hand is trained in the mystical and martial arts. They have the ability to reanimate the dead into fearsome Liches. This makes them a valued addition to the Tarosian undead armies.
The Zhon Swamp Beast:
The Swamp Beast is a distant cousin of the Jungle Orc. These sturdy creatures are ideal for any Amphibious assault. Swamp Beasts can skate across the surface of the water and descend on enemy encampments.
