In addition, the

Q.
Is it just like Total Annihilation except with a fantasy setting?
A. No. We took the Total Annihilation engine and pumped it up from
every possible angle. So now you'll see dramatic 3D environments in
16-bit color that pushes up the amount of detail in every map, unit
and landscape. There will also be a 3-magnification zoom feature and
a switchable radar/map view, with many, many other enhancements.
Q.
What kind of units will be in the game?
A. Fantastic units like none ever before seen. Skeleton archers,
dragon-riding knights, god-like deities, bonus and hero units -- a massive
clash of the titans right before your very eyes. It's simply the greatest
fantasy real-time strategy game ever.
Q.
Will there be downloadable units?
A. Of course -- after all, this is Cavedog Entertainment! Starting
shortly after the game's release, players will be able to download and
take advantage of battle-ready units, maps and other extensions.
Q.
What are the four sides?
A. There are four races in Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, each led
by an immortal monarch bent on ruling the mythical land of Darien. The
four races each represent the four primary forces of air, earth, fire
and water.
- ZHON (air):
With the wind at their backs and the fearsome beasts of their homeland
at their command, the tribes of this nation bring doom upon all
outsiders.
- ARAMON (earth):
Knights and archers, castles and powerful weapons of war -- the
men of Aramon are the acknowledged masters of the physical world.
- TAROS (fire):
Seeking power above all, the wizards of fire command the creatures
of Hell, set loose the dead and unleash destruction upon the world.
- VERUNA (water):
At home among the seas and oceans, the people of this island nation
have seen the world from shore to shore. They can open distant lands
to trade...or choke them off.
Q.
Will there be multiplayer capabilities?
A. Of course! We are currently working with a variety of online
gaming sites to host Total Annihilation: Kingdoms. Keep checking www.cavedog.com
for a list of sites as they become available.
Q.
Will I be able to play TA: Kingdoms via Boneyards?
A. Yes. Please check the Boneyards
Web site for more information about Cavedog's online gaming community.
