From what I've heard in the TAU forum Nexus is going to give us a second chance and is going to set up a monthly payment/donation through pay-pal.

As Nexus have announced the downfall/implosion of the entire *Universe network, we have worked hard to establish the last outpost of the free, the brave etc... We are not down yet and we will struggle to the last file. A demi-working mirror of the site exists at fu.luckz.de. Stay tuned for more information.
Since we're off the protective hand of Nexus we are effectively on our own. We pay the servers now out of our own pockets, and unfortunately, none of them are too deep. We are struggling to find a reliable server for a low cost (not a home server, please) and will migrate to such institution as soon as we find one. Anyone that is willing to chip in is heartly welcome.
To avoid things like this in the future, FU will in due time be expanded to include a seed service for p2p tracking, which would mean that even lost files could theoretically be retreived again.
